Free solo Oscar for best documentary

Free solo Oscar for best documentary
Jimmy Chin's documentary about Alex Honnold's feat is the first climbing film to win the prestigious award.

We are talking about the great chances of Free Solo to win the Oscar in an article about the climbing movies that have been marked by the general public. And well Free solo did it. Moving into a new category ... of the Oscar-winning rock climbing movie.

Honnold's Freestyle Climb without Rope will have seduced the Oscars jury. As we saw in our article, the film possessed for all its qualities to win the reward:
1) Solo: Two of the movies owned by solo scenes. That's good, Jimmy Chin's film will give us more solo than we've ever seen at the movies.

2) More widely, risks: All movies are here.

3) A way of life: Patrick Edlinger at Camp 4 of Yosemite climbers, staging a lifestyle close to nature with success with the public. Good point for Jimmy Chin: Alex Honnold lived in a moment at the shooting of Free Solo.

4) Doubtful protagonists: Nothing better to try to get a reward than to add a little existential questioning in his film. Again, Free Solo should not disappoint.

As a reminder, the film will be broadcast in France on March 24 on the National Geographic channel.
